Common questions
Is Sealbook legal advice?
No. Sealbook is a personal record-keeping tool. It does not provide legal advice or guarantee that a record will be accepted by a court. Consult a qualified attorney for advice about your situation.
Does the other parent need Sealbook?
No. Sealbook is designed for one person to use. It does not send messages to, share data with, or require an account from the other parent.
How do I record an exchange?
Use Check In and tap “I’ve Arrived.” Sealbook seals the time immediately. Location is optional; you can record a check-in even if you decline location access.
Can I change a sealed entry?
You can add an amendment or redact content using the app controls. Sealbook keeps a record of the original and the change rather than silently replacing it.
How do I export a case file?
Open Case File, choose Export for Attorney, select a date range and filters, then review the preview before sharing. Basic PDF and CSV export remain available; the full case file may require Plus or a one-time case-file purchase.
How do I restore purchases?
Open Settings → Subscription and choose Restore Purchases. Purchases are managed by Apple; subscriptions can also be managed in Apple Account Settings.
How do I protect access to the app?
Set an app passcode in Settings and enable Face ID or Touch ID if you choose. Keep your recovery code somewhere safe. Support cannot retrieve a passcode or recovery code for you.
How do I turn off analytics?
Open Settings → Security and turn off “Share anonymous usage.” This disables product analytics, masked session replay, and diagnostic reporting for that installation.
How do I delete my data?
Use Settings → Delete All Data and follow the confirmation steps. Export anything you need before deleting it. If you use iCloud sync, follow the in-app instructions for removing private CloudKit data too.
Contact support

For privacy requests, see the Privacy Policy. For billing disputes or refunds, contact Apple Support first because Apple processes App Store payments.
