Important. Sealbook helps you maintain a personal record. It is not a law firm, lawyer, mediator, emergency service, or substitute for professional advice. A court, attorney, or other authority—not Sealbook—decides whether any record is admissible, reliable, or useful.

1. Acceptance

These Terms govern Sealbook, including the iOS app and this website. By downloading, accessing, or using Sealbook, you agree to them and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Sealbook.

2. The service

Sealbook is a single-user journal for recording parenting-time events, attaching items you choose, reviewing a timeline, and exporting records. Some functions may be free while paid features can include the full attorney PDF, expanded pattern history, court-order tracking, or bulk import. Features may vary by version, device, location, and subscription status.

Sealbook does not contact the other parent, send messages for you, provide legal advice, guarantee an outcome, or replace professional judgment. You decide what to record, export, and share, and you are responsible for complying with applicable recording, privacy, evidence, and family-law rules.

3. Your content

You retain ownership of content you create or attach and are responsible for having the right to create, store, and share it. Do not use Sealbook to harass, threaten, impersonate, violate privacy, infringe rights, or break the law. Sealing preserves an audit trail inside Sealbook: corrections are added as amendments rather than silently replacing an entry. It does not independently authenticate your account or guarantee court acceptance. Review every export before sharing it.

4. Purchases, trials, and subscriptions

Purchases are made through your Apple Account and are subject to Apple’s terms. Pricing, billing period, renewal terms, trial eligibility, and included features are shown in the app before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Apple Account Settings.

Where offered, a one-time case-file export is a consumable purchase. Restore Purchases is available for eligible subscriptions and non-consumables. Basic reading, search, verification, and basic export are intended to remain available without a subscription, subject to the app’s current functionality.

5. Acceptable use and availability

Use Sealbook only for lawful, personal record keeping. Do not reverse engineer, interfere with, bypass security, use automated extraction, or present Sealbook as a legal professional service. We may update, modify, suspend, or discontinue features to improve or secure the service, comply with law, or respond to platform changes. Keep independent copies of important exports.

6. Disclaimers

Sealbook is provided “as is” and “as available” to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that it will meet every need, be uninterrupted, or be error-free. We do not give legal, financial, medical, therapeutic, or emergency advice. In an emergency, contact local emergency services or qualified professionals.

7. Limitation of liability and contact

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Sealbook publisher is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, or goodwill; or decisions made by a court, attorney, insurer, or other third party. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid in the 12 months before the event or USD $10. We may update these terms by posting a revised version here.
